Positive movement experiences can influence a child’s outlook on physical activity for life. Our KinderGym classes are carefully designed to target the physical, cognitive and social developmental milestones of each age group.

1-2 years (45 minutes)
3 years (45 minutes)
4 years (1 hour)
Siblings and Friends (45 minutes)

We offer a range of exploration and discovery including themed activities, songs, games and movement skills derived from the dominant movement patterns (static, spring, landing, swing, rotation and locomotion) with a strong emphasis on gymnastics. Guide your child through our carefully crafted activities and watch as they discover new and exciting ways to move their bodies and as they become more and more aware of where their body is in space. As their confidence and awareness of their bodies grows, we will provide your little one with opportunities to further explore their capabilities in a safe environment that encourages and challenges them.

Parent participation and supervision is required for ages 1-3 years.

To register, please create an account for your child on our parent portal. From there, you simply come along to the first session and we will complete the enrolment from our end.

GEMS

Our Horizon Gems Program is our levelled recreational program aimed at gymnasts 4 years and up. Gymnasts progress and move through the different levels, at their own pace, acquiring new skills, strength, flexibility, fitness, coordination and, above all, confidence in a safe, fun and encouraging environment.

With 6 levels to move through, the development of each gymnast is tracked and recorded through our Parent Portal (new in 2024). Gymnasts learn a range of skills based on the level they are enrolled in and coaches support them to work towards progressing and achieving these so they are proficient in each area. Skills checks are done in Weeks 4 and 8 and gymnasts who have mastered all required skills for their level, are awarded a certificate to recognise their progress and achievement before moving to the next level of class where they will continue to motivate and challenge them.

Level 1 : Pearl
Level 2: Sapphire
Level 3: Opal
Level 4: Ruby
Level 5: Emerald

Teens

Our Teens class is specifically designed with teenagers' interests and fitness needs in mind. Our classes focus on strength and conditioning whilst providing teenagers a safe and supportive space to practise and learn traditional gymnastics, tumbling and acrobatics skills.

All participants complete the fitness circuits and activities set out each week which incorporate a variety of HIIT workouts and traditional gymnastics conditioning elements to improve overall fitness before being provided with the opportunity of participating in a variety of skills and stations in an open gym session.

We encourage leadership and decision-making with our lesson format by allowing the teens to explore the gym based on their own interests and abilities with our nationally accredited coaches to guide and support them. They are in control of their own fitness journey thereby assisting them to establish their own passion for an ongoing healthy and active lifestyle leading into adulthood.

Boys

We offer 2 class Boys Only classes at Horizon Gymnastics Club. 5-7 years and 8 years+.

Our Boys Only classes incorporate Men's Artistic Gymnastics as well as a combination of tumbling and parkour that is bound to get your child moving. Jump, spin, sprint, climb and bound. You name it, they'll be doing it.

These recreational classes will be a fast paced, fun yet challenging class for all levels to enjoy and where the gymnasts can work on not only their skills but also their strength, body control, speed and agility.

Adults

It is NEVER too late to start a new sport. Gymnastics has so many benefits not just for when we are younger but also as we age.

Our Adults Open Sessions are classes that provide structure to learn new gymnastics skills and techniques balanced with some time to explore your own capabilities and work towards your own goals.

An excellent way to compliment to other sports such as cross fit, surfing, skating, BMX or diving, gymnastics will keep you fit, strong and flexible whilst giving you a range of functional movement you can enjoy in all sports.

Women’s Artistic gymnastics

Our Competitive Program is for gymnasts who want to reach further and achieve more. They have big dreams and goals they are striving for.

Development Squad

Our Development Squad is for those gymnasts who dream of competing in the future. Gymnasts may have been in our recreational program and were identified as having the potential to further succeed.

Gymnasts in this squad already have some fundamental gymnastics skills so this program will introduce them to basic conditioning, flexibility, strength as well as correct shaping and techniques - all of which are essential in the development of the gymnastic skills required for future competition success and our State Squad program. This class is not about learning how to flip and turn in the air but about laying the foundations to be able to do so later.

Development squad gymnasts will have the opportunity to compete in one club hosted or inter club competition throughout the year. Their training is twice per week and may include some school holiday training.

State Level Squad

Our Squads program is via invite only and is for dedicated and determined athletes who want to take their gymnastics to the next level.

Our experienced coaches provide gymnasts with a focused and motivating development program which is designed to build on from the foundational level and will guide gymnasts to further progress and develop a high quality of new and exciting skills while supporting them to reach their own personal goals.

In these squads, gymnasts not only build on their gymnastics skills but they are also learning how to set goals, work as a team, perform under pressure, persevere with challenges, be resilient and problem solve.

Our state squads follow the Australian Levels Program and gymnasts commit to train two to three times a week for 46 weeks of the year. They have the opportunity to compete individually and as a team at a Regional, State and National level, with 3-4 competitions from July to October.
